Childhood and adolescence are fundamental stages in personal and identity development. Accompanying children and adolescents in these processes from a young age, by focusing on emotions, is key to building more empowered adults, aware of themselves and resilient to life’s challenges.
Working with children and adolescents is a journey full of possibilities. It is not just about talking, but about developing their creative expression. When a child draws, plays or moves, they are speaking in a ways where words do not often reach. As a therapist, I have the responsibility to see, listen to and facilitate this process. Each gesture, each activity, is an opportunity to open doors in their inner world. With patience, trust and understanding, the relationship is strengthened. This is the most powerful tool.
Play and the arts, play a fundamental role in child and adolescent therapy. They have a great symbolic and creative capacity that allows them to express themselves in a unique way, turning therapeutic work into an enriching and fun experience. Seeking help is an act of courage, a gesture of care and responsibility towards oneself and towards others.
